1. $1 A DAY CHALLENGE
Having extra $365 dollar saved at the end of the year with minimum efforts that is not hard to keep up with? Sounds awesome! I have implemented this challenge for my self beginning of this year (2016). With everyday spending and expenses, it is quite an easy challenge to simply put away $1 a day from your daily budget. Definitely something that is not overwhelming and easy to achieve. I personally planned on donating the $365 to a charity at the end of the year. However, with this hassle free easy challenge you could easily save up some cash to splurge on something nice for new years ahead.
2. SPENDING HABIT FASTING
Analyse your spending habit and how you budget around that. Find something that you can easily cut down on for a week or fortnight and save that money instead. What do i mean by that? Well, for example i get paid forthrightly, which means every forthright i personally set a new budget for my self where i list all my expenses and decide on how much i plan to spend on certain categories of expense such as grocery or going out for the next two weeks.
If i find that i frequently spend money on something under one category, i simply go on spending fast for that particular expense. So instead of always grabbing a banana bread or some kind of snack with my morning coffee, for a week or two i would instead bring my own food and save the money that was going to be spent on the snack. Throughout the year you could literally set your self up for a little habit fasting challenges during your budget period. If you find spending habit patterns in your daily life that could easily be put on hold for a week, try going on a fast
3. 52 WEEKS TILL $1000
As it's clearly obvious by now that i like to stick to fairly easy challenges. The reason behind this because firstly i prefer to make sure that my participation in saving challenges doesn't become a hassle in my budget along with the fact it is also easier to stay motivated to complete a challenge.
There are multiple 52 week money saving challenges on the internet that varies in the amount of deposits you make along with the final savings figure. But the example 52 weeks savings plan that i have provided below is a good amount of $1000 to save as the deposit amounts are also fairly on the lower side.
