5 TIPS ON HOW TO PREVENT CLUTTER IN YOUR HOUSE
The best way to tackle clutter is by preventing it at first place.  By utilising clutter prevention methods you will find that you have less clutter coming in and building up. Intentionally preventing clutter will also help you to stay organised and maintain a clean hassle free living space. Listed below are 5 methods you should practice in order to avoid clutter creeping in.

5 TIPS ON HOW TO PREVENT CLUTTER IN YOUR HOUSE:

1. Intentionally keep surfaces clean and clear.
I have noticed that whenever i randomly put down something in any surfaces like dining table or my dresser, somehow one thing would lead to bunch of other random stuff piling up in that location. Best solution is to promote a clear surface policy. Not only will that make it easy for you to clean your furniture but also by default make your space look much neat. By intentionally keeping your surfaces clear, any random things placed in the area would stand out and make it easy to discard or put away.

2. Straight away sort out your letters and junk mails.
I would highly recommend to check your letters near the mailbox and straight away sort out and recycle junk mails. However, if that is not possible, don't bring your junk mail and promotional brochures inside the house and let it pile up. Make sure to sort out any unnecessary paper such as open envelopes and shopping catalogues once you have finished reading it.

3. Sort and put away your clothes immediately.
I know most people could relate when i speak of having that one random chair or sofa that somehow ends up with piles of clothes. Even if that doesn't happen to you, it is important to immediately sort and put your clothes away to avoid clutter in your living space. Sometimes when you get home from outside it is very easy to get changed and just feel lazy to sort out your clothes you have just taken off. By sorting out your clean and dirty clothes straight away that would mean one less thing to worry about later.

4. Avoid knick knacks around the house.
It is best to avoid small knick knack decor in the house. Firstly because small items gathered in one place can look very cluttered along with the fact that things such nature easily attract dust thus requiring you to spending time cleaning more often.

5. Avoid freebies.
Don't be tempted to pickup promotional freebies from events and marketers. Freebies such as randoms pens, key rings, mugs and hats are such space wasters especially when you bring them in to your house with out intentionally thinking about whether the item will actually serve any purpose to you. It is best to stay clear of thing such as random freebies to prevent unnecessary clutter in your household.
